The Dressmaker—A Musical Adaptation
Based on Rosalie Ham’s revenge-comedy novel of the same name, The Dressmaker—A Musical Adaptation is directed by Suzanne Chaundy (Opera Australia), written by James Millar and composed by Peter Rutherford (the writers of The Hatpin) with a creative team and cast made up of professional artists and Monash performing arts students.
Humorous and beautifully observed, The Dressmaker—A Musical Adaptation follows the story of Tilly; a girl who grew up under the label of murderer and returns to her home town as a glamorous woman offering the latest Parisienne fashion to the locals. Her exceptional tale is full of love, secrets and revenge.
Presented by Monash Centre for Theatre and Performance, The Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music. The Dressmaker—A Musical Adaptation is brought to you by the Pratt Foundation.
